Can one send in more than 2 recommendations for Princeton?

yea but only if u think its gonna be real good. if it talks about things that have been already mentioned in other recoms, its only gonna annoy the admissions officers who already have thousands of recoms to read!

There's the 2 teacher rec's you have to send. You can send in more but they don't really like it if you send say 10 more. Having said that, if you have a rec from say an arts teacher, or your music teacher or a sports coach that can always explain things clearer and bolster your case!

I think what most people do is send in the two teacher recs and then, if they want to, send in a supplemental rec from an elective teacher, coach, research mentor, etc. I really don't think you should send in more than one supplemental, though, unless you really feel you have to.

I think I sent four recs. I didn't ask for the extra two, a program I participated in decided to send them for me.

If it is up to you, I would try to keep it to two recs. If you decide to send a third, make it about an area that is underrepresented in your app, like an artistic or athletic talent. It can't hurt...the worst that could happen is that they don't get read.

I would only sent 2 Teacher recs and the optional. Princeton says they don't want anymore claiming that the 2 teacher recs and the optional rec provide all the info they need, all others only confirming what they already learned.
