I heard you can write up to 3 Subject tests at once. Would this be advised? Also, how would the logistics behind it work? Would I let them know when I sign up, or at the test center? Would everyone just write in same room regardless of the test? How is the order of tests given out decided?
You can register for 1 to 3, but take 1, 2, or 3. If you registered for fewer tests, you’ll be billed the balance. All the exams for that sitting are in one booklet, so you bubble in the test code on the sheet. The order you take it does not matter except if you have a language with listening exam in November, in which case that has to be taken first. If you’re not taking 3 tests, when the proctor calls timeon your last test, you hand in your stuff and leave.
As for the wisdom of taking 3 in one day? That’s up to you. If you’re prepared, it’s fine, IMO.
So if many people are writing in one room, would each person have a custom exam configuration (in terms of the number of tests and subject)?
Potentially, yes.
My son told me that the majority of people in his room left by the end of the 2nd test. Most don’t stick around for three (he was one of the few who did)>
I see. Just for clarification, I would choose what order of tests I’ll write, correct?
^ Yes, unless you are opting for a F/L listening test. I think those are done first. My son took USH, Math 2, and Lit and he said the order was entirely up to him.
Correct
My S signed up for and took 3 (USH, Math 2, Physics) and got 800s on all of them. He didn’t have to do much prep for them since he took the APs the month prior. I believe even if you signed up for less than 3 tests, you can still do 3 and you’ll just be billed for the ones you didn’t signed up for.
