Hey guys. So I’m currently waitlisted for multiple UC campuses. If I accept one offer and SIR there, can I later cancel and SIR somewhere else if I receive news that they have accepted me off the waitlist? Also, say I SIR’ed to UCSB and then accepted the waitlist offer from UCD - do I need to notify UCSB and revoke my SIR there? Or can I just SIR to UCD directly? Thank you.
I got waitlisted for A TON of UCs as well - UCLA, Berkeley, UCSD and UCD. I was rejected from UCSB (which I am appealing) and only accepted to UCSC.
I accepted the waitlist for all the schools. My college counselor told me if I get in off a waitlist from another school that I can be reimbursed for the SIR but not for a housing deposit.
So as long as you don’t submit a housing deposit you should be fine.
