multiple version = different main essay?

<p>Hi,</p>

<p>I was wondering about the fact that if you create multiple versions, does that mean you can use different common app "main essays" for each college? On the form it had note saying</p>

<p>Note: The Common Application essay should be the same for all colleges. Members that wish to review custom essay responses will request them on their Supplement form. </p>

<p>So even if I could use different essays (say Essay A for College A and Essay B for College B) for different common app versions, am I prohibited from doing so? (I noticed that the "NOTE" on the Personal essay section wasn't there on last year's app).</p>

<p>you can change the common app essay. i’ve already done this. i sent one commonapp essay to MIT and another to Penn.</p>

<p>was that last year or have you done it this year too? cuz the OP is stating that it might have changed this year because the “note” only appeared this year…</p>

<p>Hmmm thats good news for me lol. i haven’t done this yet but im wondering why it doesn’t work for a lot of people…im starting to worry it won’t work for me either…</p>
