Multivariable calculus advantages for AP Physics C

Right now I am almost finished self teaching myself Multivariable Calc and was wondering if know it would provide any advantages while in a AP Physics C class. What about Math beyond MV?

AP Physics C doesn’t require multivariable calculus. If you take Physics C E&M, there are a few things that having a background in multi will help you better understand, but single-variable calc is really all that’s needed. You will see dot- and cross-products, as well as surface and line integrals (in E&M only), so having seem them before will probably make it easier to grasp. That said, anything that comes from multi will only be seen qualitatively (like recognizing that a surface integral over a sphere is simply the surface area of a sphere, which one knows from geometry is 4pir^2.
