MUN vs. RPG?

So I'm applying to MIT...

My friends have created two new clubs at our school this year: Model United Nations and Role-Play Game Club. I've been involved in role-playing since before 8th grade, and I'm really passionate about it (not in the geeky hack-'n-slash way), but I think MUN might look better on my application.

I already mentioned that I like role-playing in my application, but all the information I've gleaned from MIT admissions tells me to "pursue" my interests. Don't get me wrong, MUN is interesting to me. But I think RPG Club would better show a follow-through, or something like that.

What do you guys think?

I say you go for the RPG, it shows diversity and activities, and proves that your just not a marth nerd. I recommend you do this.

This is an interesting situation. PErsonally to me, RPG Club looks very ....eh, useless (its akin to video-game playing club - im sure everyone at MIT already does this, so it adds 0 diversity). Model UN is an offical club with scholastic and self-purpose, which looks more official (because it is) than RPG Club.

I'm personally not sure which one you should put down, as RPG club still does seem interesting, but it doesnt seem to be a 'true' EC because it seems to just translate into club form what one elite school adcom say they would never accept a student who 'plays Dungeon and Dragons all day".

Just my 2 cents

MIT and Caltech are known for not caring about well-roundedness. I think they want you to excel in math or science.

How about both?
