<p>Your mad typing skills will definitely have an effect on college admissions.</p>
<p>If you like MUN, it will help.</p>
<p>If you don't like MUN and only do it to write on your application, it won't help (or at least not very much).</p>
<p>I'm in MUN, but I can't imagine it carries more weight than any other extracurricular. Unless it's your passion and you put a lot into it.</p>
<p>Model UN was the basis for my college essay (sort of), so it definitely helped in my application in that it gave me a topic to write about. I agree wtih DerrickA, however, that it doesn't give your application a higher boost than a different EC (like debate) would. Unless you show that you're truly standout at it (the type of kid that gets Best Delegate at every conference they've attended), it's a pretty standard EC which a lot of kids have.</p>
