MUS 95E Audition

Hello guys. If you have taken MUS 95E, would you mind to share how the audition is going to be like? I play violin and I want to take the class in the fall. Yes, it is months away but I am curious to know... Thanks.

I just brought in a solo piece to play, and there were some parts he asked me to replay, from what I remember. Then he asked me to play a scale, and then play it again in spicatto. It wasn’t that bad. Then again, I play the viola, so it was probably easier for me to get in. Have you checked the MUS95E page out yet?

I took it winter quarter. The audition is really informal, and David Medine is pretty chill. He asked for a c major scale (i think?? its the easiest one), 3 ocatves for cello, and then I just played my solo and that was it.
I’m pretty sure if you know how to play your instrument he’ll let you in, its more a matter of seating, which is actually pretty informal too.
