<p>Any advice regarding this class? Is it lots of work and/or time outside of class? An easy GE? Thanks.</p>
<p>My friend took it and told me it was a pretty easy GE. Also, she wasn't a music person (no background or intense interest in music) but still found the class very manageable.</p>
<p>it is the easiest class i've ever taken at ucla. even a middle schooler could get an a+. you're handed 20% of your overall grade simply by showing up to class. you go to maybe two or three concerts and write "reports" that take less than half an hour of your time. the ta's almost automatically hand you perfect scores for these unless you don't follow the guidelines. you definitely don't need a music background because even if you did, the material would be taught in a way that's different from what you would be accustomed to.</p>
