To anyone submitting a supplement for music/theater/the performing arts with their Common App: What are you submitting for the 10 minute max sample of your work? What format are these submissions generally in? Do you just make a video and upload it to Youtube and provide the URL?

I'm really confused about what to do here, so if somebody could help me out I'd really appreciate it.

My son submitted a link to Youtube. It was a video but the screen is just black with the titles of the songs and my son’s name. It’s really an audio.

That’s not really what I was asking about, xrCalico, but thanks anyway. And sbjdorlo, I was thinking of doing something similar, so it’s reassuring that I wouldn’t be the only one in history to do that, hahah.

Does anyone else have experience on this subject?

My college roommate did Youtube link, so it should be fine.

There’re posters in the music forums who’re very knowledgeable about the submission of music supplements for all sorts of purposes. You’ll get much more definite and helpful responses there than waiting here forever for a reply.
