Hi!
I am graduating in the year 2019 and am looking into colleges that offer Music Industry/Business Degrees (I say both Industry and Business because I can see the degree under both titles.) I am hoping to double major and receive both a Music Business and standard Business Degree if I can. My hope is to join the Music Industry and be able to create my own music (I am a singer.) However, I understand how hard it can be to break through in my career of choice and I want to ensure my financial stability in a field that I still feel passionate about.
All rambling aside, I am wondering if there are any recommendations that can be given for my scenario. I am already looking into Steinhardt and the Clive Davis Program as well as Syracuse and many others. I would like for the colleges to be in New York but I am open to all suggestions, even those out of the United States.
----Stats----
I am a straight A student with a 4.0 unweighted GPA. I am taking all Honors courses this year with the exception of Math. I am taking AP courses next year and have perfect attendance (if that helps.) I don’t know if this would be beneficial or not, but I have also taken electives in all law courses provided by my school and I am going to be taking AP Physiology and AP Sociology next year. I have not currently taken my SAT’s but my school does predict my scores to be top quality.
Financially, my family is not well off. I come from a single parent home with an income of under $20k. I am willing to work but I am not willing to take out loans as I have seen first hand what it can do to your financial stability. If you could offer the standard tuition, financial aid opportunities and the chances of a full ride (or close to it.) It would be much appreciated.
Thank you in advance!
