My other choices are Drexel, Northeastern, and USC. Also, I'd appreciate it if anyone could tell me my chances of acceptance. Currently I'm a junior in high school.

theres no music production in tisch...just the recorded music program which can't be a minor.

Actually there is a production minor at Tisch <a href="http://specialprograms.tisch.nyu.edu/object/MinorProducing.html%5B/url%5D">http://specialprograms.tisch.nyu.edu/object/MinorProducing.html</a></p>

The Music Business program is in Steinhardt. That production minor has nothing to do with Music Business. It's through the F/TV department at Tisch, and it's doubtful that you'd be allowed to take it as a Steinhardt student. The Music Bus. program is a pretty intense music program and students should have a fairly extensive music background. You have to audition either on an instrument or voice.

Thanks for your input! Yes, I know the music business program is at the Steinhardt School of Education. The production minor can be in film and tv, or in music, theatrics, etc. If you look at the courses, they cover all genres. Also, the internship point quotes "A student could choose to culminate their minor with a one point internship at a company closely aligned with the focus of the student's interest. These include film production companies, agencies, theatrical producers, music producers, studios, etc." The minor also includes several courses in business such as marketing and legal aspects of the industry which would be very helpful in addition to the music business degree.
As for not being able to take it as a Steinhardt student, if you got to the NYU and Tisch section, then Open Arts, the website says "The Tisch Open Arts Curriculum is a series of Tisch courses open to all undergraduate and graduate students at NYU regardless of major. Students of all disciplines and abilities participate in classes representing the diverse courses offered at Tisch."
Again, thank you so much for your input!

You are quite correct that Open Arts courses are available to students of other colleges. However, as a Music Business student you will not have a sufficient number of elective credits to be able to obtain that minor. It may be possible in a subject in CAS, but not in Tisch.
