Music conservatories within a liberal arts college

I'm trying to identify music conservatories (focus/major in vocal music) that are associated with liberal arts colleges - like Oberlin.

St. Olaf college is Minnesota is also very strong in music.

Loook at Bard

Lawrence. Rice (not a liberal arts college, but I would highly recommend it)

Ithaca, Hartt School (University of Hartford(not an LAC))

Williams and Vassar are two LACs with a high level of music (ie. many Conservatory level musicians who chose to go to an LAC)

Lots of good ideas there!

There are any number of regionally recognized LACs with good music departments. Many will have a denominational affiliation. If you like St Olaf in Minnesota, you might like Luther in Iowa. Shenandoah in Virginia is a small university that does have a true Conservatory program.

While Univ. of Rochester isn’t a LAC, there might be something for you at U of R and the Eastman School of Music.

Ditto with Peabody Conservatory, part of Johns Hopkins.

Bard does not offer vocal performance as an undergrad degree pursuit. Plenty of places to look here http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/music-major/6280-suggestions-colleges-music-majors.html, and within the music major forum. This may help you find info there http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/music-major/892168-search-tips-other-insights.html
