Music director invitation to attend a concert for an applicant and family

Invitation to attend a concert by music director means anything for an appliicant who applied to the college? Director wants to meet kid and want to meet family also. Does it mean anything?

@gibby @skieurope do we rely to the email that we will be attending? Please let me know. Thanks

Follow the instructions on the invite. If nothing is listed, no reply is needed, but you can certainly respond via email if that is how you received it. Otherwise, it should say how to RSVP.

Dircetor emailed to my son. He gave links to the event and asked to reply back to confirm it that whether we can make it. Director told to meet us after the event and introduce the famil also. All through the email. Ok my kid will reply that family will be thrilled to attend. Thanks

PM’ing you

Second elite university’s music director reached out by email to the student. Music director has asked to meet the kid and asked if kid woul be able to come and attend a concert. Fortunately this concert is on a different date. We are going to attend. Is this just a subtle hint or what?

Have you attended yet?

Did your kid submit a music supplement? I have never heard of the music director, at Harvard at least, reaching out in this manner. Is there something extraordinary about your kid that would make the director want to campaign for your kid’s attendance?

@compmom yes kid submitted a music supplement. We wait and watch and see how college admission goes. The college admission process is new to us.

Would you mind sharing the name of the second school?

Decisions are out now. Did your child receive good news?

@sgopal2 I had seen last week that her son (daughter?) did receive an offer from “4 Ivies” (but not sure which 4) and he also was admitted to Stanford a few days ago…so I guess the invitation did mean something
