<p>Is it better to have a broad range of extracurriculars like orchestra and sports than to just stick with clubs relating to your major and volunteering?</p>
<p>it’s better to do things that you enjoy and to be dedicated to those things.</p>
<p>You still want to have the standard pre-med ECs–basically, volunteering/clinical work and shadowing. Outside of that, do what you want.</p>
<p>I play instruments both as an EC and just for fun…it’s a nice way to “get away” from whatever else I worry about in my life. Do what you love and get involved as much as possible.</p>
