Music for working out

My ipod playist:
nelly furtado - promiscuous
Fat Joe feat Mase - lean back (remix)
Ying Yan Twins - Shake
Outkast - the way you move
NERD - lapdance
Gwen stefani - hollaback girl
Go!Team - Huddle Formation

and random fast-paced songs

Usually fast paced punk/emoish music. I don't like the whining/lyrics but it's the PERFECT pace/upbeat music.

I like the new Lost Prophets album a lot.

It's all about the metal.

well, then in my case it would be Vader, Burzum, Corrosion of Conformity, Bolt Thrower, and some Dragonforce for running.

Techno .

Good work out bands:

You Say Party! We Say Die!
Bear vs Shark
Pendulum
Dragonforce / Rhapsody / Any other prog rock band
Blood Brothers
The Faint
The Go! Team
Death From Above 1979

And usprisingly, Andrew WK

Darude - SandStorm (best techno ever)
Eminem - Mockingbird
Fabulous - BREATHE (great workout song)
Pussycat dolls - Dont cha
Houston - I Like That
Europe - The Final Countdown
Sean Paul - Temperature

Spitfire - The Prodigy (gives so much energy/ boosts adrenaline.)

Sandstorm gives me a headache halfway through it.
Listen to Franz Ferdinand. Take Me Out is not there best song by far. The Fallen and Outsiders are better.

Anything by reel big fish

I listen to a single live trance set:

DJ Tiesto - Magik (any of them... 6 or 7 most often)
DJ Tiesto - In Search of Sunrise 1
Ferry Corsten - Trance Energy 2000
Paul Van Dyk - Mayday 2000

etc.

pantera
ozzy
black label
lil jon

Techno-ey stuff or loud and fast rock works best. I have a habit of starting to run to the tempo of the music, and because of that, I simply cannot run to slow, "emo", ballad-ish stuff. Spanish rap is also good (Orishas!).

I personally like Quantic, Daft Punk (for your techno), and System of a Down, Chevelle, Ok Go, Muse and others.

ooo this thread is good...
I've been downloading a lot of these songs. The best running song by far is Spitfire - the Prodigy, reccomended by Kevster.

lose control - missy elliot
Spitfire - the prodigy
Numb encore - jayz and linkin park
Shake that ass - eminem ft nate dogg
Confusion - New Order (from blade soundtrack)
Insomnia remix - Benny bennassi
ALL Muse songs
ALL System of the down songs
Moody (saeed younan mix) - BPT
Break Stuff - Limp Bizkit
Listen to your heart - DHT
We run this - Missy elliot

Ooo Lose Control is very good, too.

Before I forget, something on par with Spitfire, I recommend Toxicity - System of a Down
