Does anyone know if all the Music Industry major acceptances have been sent? From statistics, I have seen that Thornton only has 500 undergrads. Which means that only about 100 new students are accepted into the school each year for their many majors. Quite worried. havent received mine yet =[

yea i got mine on saturday. accepted to the Music Industry B.S. program

are there acceptances still coming out for the program?

I haven’t received mine either. Also quite worried…

hey guys, i was also admitted to the music industry B.S. program.

this is according to part of my admissions materials that i got along with my admissions letter/folder… is there also a separate letter from the music school that is supposed to come?

im not sure. we’re still waiting to get accepted. =/

good luck!! I hope I get to see you guys in classes next year :D

Hi, I got admitted into the Music Industry BS program. You basically receive the acceptance package and on one of the pages the package comes with there is a text that states which major you’ve been accepted to. I don’t know if later a separate letter will be sent, but for now that means you’re in Thornton as well (unless they accepted you into your second option major which isn’t inside Thornton)

are the accepted stats high? Do you guys have crazy SAT/ACT scores and GPA?

I’m thinking that the acceptances to the Music Industry BS will likely be based quite a bit on work experience/internships etc. I had a couple good internships and I’ve set up my own recording studio but I’m worried that other applicants will have had crazy internships at Sony and places like that.

What where your music-related extra curiculars like?

I was accepted with a 32 ACT score… and like a 3.87 GPA.

As far as experience, I had a summer internship with a start up music company, but other than that, I just expressed my love and passion for the industry really really well in my essay. I’d like to think that that got me in.

did you get in recently?

I got in with a 1960 SAT and no internships whatsoever… I just talked about performances I had done and work I had done on my own producing and composing songs (and also how I learned how to play several musical instruments)

Really what I think got me in is my essay, so don’t sweat it too much thinking you need killer internships from prestigious companies because I had nothing like that.

did your status change from fowarded to committee to review?

My status changed to forwarded about a month ago and then when I was accepted it changed back to committee to review.

did it change back to committee review after your acceptance package or before, because mine is still stuck at fowarded for a verrrry long time

i don’t even have the forwarded status I’ve been on the review status for far too long now
