Drexel or Northeastern: Which school has the better Music Industry Co-op?

Definitely Drexel. Northeastern is business, engineering and health sciences only. Drexel has a great music industry co-op and undergraduate program.

I'm confused by your comment. If you are stating that Northeastern does not even have a music co-op, that is incorrect. If you are instead saying this program is so lacking that it should not be seriously considered, please explain the basis for that belief.

I recently got accepted to both Drexel and Northeastern for music technology and am really uncertain where to go. The emphasis seems to be different at each school, with NEU leaning more toward really avant garde academic music...but I'm not sure. If anyone can share their experiences or knowledge of faculty and opportunities at each school that would be great.

I am also curious to hear more about info on Northeasterns music industry program vs. Drexel’s. ANY INFO appreciated

I am an undergrad music industry major at Northeastern (Now abbreviated NU no longer NEU) and I can tell you from my experience, Northeastern has an excellent program. All of the music industry professors have had an abundance of experience in their fields, and the knowledge you gain is not only interesting, but highly practical in the industry. The one thing I will tell current and future applicants to be wary of is that Music Technology here is not as it sounds. This program does not work with Music Recording as much as it does with different ways of composing music. There are a few recording classes within the Music Industry Major offered as electives for upperclassmen, and I believe that area of the program is in its developing stage. As for co-ops, I know that we send a lot of students to big name companies, and it is definitely on par with the other leaders in this area (USC and UMiami). I myself just got back from an internship at Universal Music Group that I went about on my own, but met four other students there who were on co-op from Northeastern’s program.
