So my sister is starting the whole college process and is looking for schools that offer "music industry" degrees. Is there such a thing, where? Or would she be better to major in Business and then specialize later in music/ recording?

Thanks Guys, I knew that you would be the ones to know about this type of degree

drexel has a music industry program. thats the only one i've heard of

Thanks Guys!! Those are really helpful!

I know someone who went to full sail for music business or something related to that

Appalacahian State University (NCAA Div. II Football champs for the last two years), a school in the University of North Carolina system, has Music Business Industry studies.

The best Communications program in the country is at Syracuse. You need to apply to NEWHOUSE at Syracuse University. Your GPA will need to be 3.9 or higher (very competitive) with very good test scores. The only other program that compares to Newhouse would be USC. But with the opening of NEWHOUSE III this September, Syracuse has USC beat.
They have an AMAZING Music Industry curriculum as well as Film,TV & Radio.
