Does anyone know if any of these schools require you to audition musically to be in their Music Industry program?

University of Hartford - West Hartford, CT (performing arts management)
SUNY College at Oneonta - Oneonta, NY (music industry)
University of Southern California - Los Angeles, CA (music industry)
SUNY College at Fredonia - NY (music business)
suny purchase (arts management)
LIU CW Post (arts management)
Drexel University (Arts management)
Fullerton: California State University Fullerton (BA in Business Administration with a concentration in Entertainment & Tourism Management)
University of Miami
James Madison
Monmouth University

My son applied to some Univ. of Hartford/Hartt school and U Miami/Frost as a music business major. Both of these schools require auditions. You can find ouot about aduition requirements by looking at the schools’ websites or calling admissions.

You might want to look at Belmont University. They have a music business school that is separate from the music program. It may not require an audition.

SUNY Oneonta does not require an audition. They recently built a gorgeous new music wing with top notch recording equipment. The tuition is very reasonable, even for out of state. It’s also easy to double major or add a minor. Also, you don’t apply to the MI program, you just apply directly to the school, which gives a lot of flexibility in case you change your mind.

Drexel doesn’t require an audition either (arts management or MI)

I wanted to correct my earlier post. I learned yesterday, while looking at the U Hartford/Hartt Music Management website, that they do offer a BA in Music Management which does not require an audition.
