Music Industry Internship. Advice please?

A couple of weeks ago I started an internship on a major record label. Problem is they want me to be there four days a week working 8-9 hours, leaving me with no time to finish my dissertation and also leaving a limited amount of time for me to study for my Comprehensive exam. They knew about both since my pre-interview. I am not even excited to go to work every single day and what I have been doing there is just getting coffee and heavy data entry. Sometimes I can see my supervisor on his Facebook or just browsing the internet while I am working my behind off.

I honestly don't even want to go to the office to be honest. He asked me what my schedule will be like for the internship and I gave it to him, only to find out he did not accept it and only left me with the option of working those 4 days, plus they would call me if they needed me any other day. As these couple of weeks have passed, I have not had either the energy nor time to successfully study and write. (Mind you I graduate this semester.) I honestly do not want to be there, nor I want to spend my life in such place with no time for family or a life, while I just work to get mediocre artists into the music scene so the company can make its millions. How can I just let them know I quit effective immediately? (I have another career where I am quite accomplished and finishing my Master's for and starting my PhD next semester.)

Any advice is appreciated.
