<p>Just wondering, what classes do music majors take during Fall of their freshmen year? (I'm going to be a music major with a performance concentration.) If you could tell me what courses usually are taken during Winter and Spring also, that would be great, thanks. I'm not attending orientation, so this info would be great.</p>

<p>My son is not here or I would confer with him. I will get back to you with what his tenative plans are. Since you are not attending orientation, perhaps you could contact a counselor or professor from the department and ask for advice.</p>

<p>So, my S was not able to enroll in any music classes until they score his music theory test. Then the department will tell him what classes he qualifies for. He won’t know the result until beginning of Sept. I just read on UCLA App another music major is unable to attend orientation, so she contacted the music dept. A music counselor said she could make arrangements to take the music theory test.</p>
<p>I guess the thing to do would be to call the Music Department and make arrangements to take the Music Theory test because they won’t let you enroll in any music classes until you do.</p>
