Princeton Orchestra - how do I prepare for the audition?

Do I need to audition for private lessons? Any violin teacher you recommend?

Thanks!

Prepare 1 piece (~5 min, with contrasting sections, etc.). Sign up for a time slot in Woolworth (the noticeboard is on the ground floor, next to the stairs). You'll also need to prepare an orchestral excerpt which would probably be in the mailboxes on the 3rd floor (the stairs can be confusing; take the elevator).

You sign up for private lessons auditions on the same noticeboard. From what I gathered, auditions are for the teachers to choose students whom they think they'll be work best with, so it's not exactly a "is he good enough" thing.

Ah, interesting. I didn't realize we needed to audition for teachers.

You only need to audition for violin and piano (am I forgetting something?).

Edit: Maybe voice too?

Oh okay. I play oboe...I'll see about lessons later on.
