music playing

hey, what are you experiences about music playing in dorms? i play music 24/7 in my room.

everyone plays music. no biggie. i got mad if i heard other peoples music though. not that i didn't like it... but if i wanted to listen to music i'd put it on myself.

:)

you can pretty much play music whenever you want... just make sure your roommate doesn't mind.

also, your dorm might have certain "quiet hours" - during which, just make sure your music can't be heard outside of your room.

we play music all the time in my room... no big deal!

well there's this newfangled technology that looks kinda like earmuffs, but sound comes through them!!!

seriously though, during the day, no one will care if you play music in your room. Just make sure your roomie isn't doing like last minute studying or something for a test. If your roomie asks you to turn it off / use headphones, you should probably do that. Remember you're playing music for you, not everyone else, so if other people don't mind, play it through your speakers, but if they ask if you could turn it off, bust out the headphones.

my roommate and i have worked out volume levels on our speakers so we both play our own music and neither of us hears the other persons music. other people come in and are confused, but we got used to it.

Yeah, during the day it's no problem as long as it's not too loud and your roommate doesn't mind. At night, just be considerate, keep it turned down or use headphones.

i used to play my guitar and i'd drum on the floor and the girl in the dorm beneath me would get so annoyed. then we wound up living together for three years, so she got over it... haha

haha, iplayoboe, my brother and i do that...and sometimes it turns out being the same song at different parts - my parents get soooo mad.

Just keep it at a reasonable level and if people ask you to turn it down, do that.
I ripped most of my cd's to my computer, so now I just listen to the music on my computer with headphones. I listen to country; my roommate does not. She does the same with her computer. I also will plug my headphones into my radio occasionally, if I want to listen to the radio rather than the stuff on my computer

play good music, but dont be that person that is continually trying to impress everyone with your knowledge of unheard bands. classic rock will get you points no matter what. dont get too into the crybaby my dadddy doenst live me emo garbage- there are too many out there. let fallout boy fall out of style and dont get caught in their downturn.
