Anyone know if there are music practice rooms available to students not particularly in music majors? Also are there any with pianos in them?

Thanks

bump… anyone?

bump again… my son would take advantage of music practice rooms for piano or sax.

Likewise. Any musicians here from NEU?

I know there are practice rooms on campus, I think in Ryder where the music department is. I’d assume at least some of them are available for anyone to use, probably by reservation, but I don’t know for sure… calling the music department might be your best bet.

thanks for the help Emily… I will try contacting the music dept

I just had my scholarship audition at Ryder today! There were schedules posted on the doors of each practice room so I’d assume you have to reserve your spot. Most people just wrote their names down and drew arrows between certain times to reserve their spots.

The practice room I warmed up in had a piano in it, so I’m sure the others do as well.

Hope that helps!

thanks a lot for the help tchang!

How many rooms were there? Do you think non-music majors could reserve them?

Also, just out of curiosity, what instrument were u auditioning for?

I’m not quite sure. I think there were around 4 or 5. There may have been more around the hall. You’re probably better off asking the music department directly since I was only there for about an hour and I only went into one music room.

I auditioned for flute and piccolo.

alright cool thx for your help. Good luck with post-audition stuff!

thanks! :)

Anyone hear about the music scholarship yet?
