Music Suggestions (Let's distract ourselves from being nervous)

Everyone should post their favorite uplifting songs and albums to keep our minds off the nervousness of waiting.

My favorite songs are:

Time is on my side (Irma Thomas or the Rolling Stones)
Sittin' on the Dock of the Bay (Otis Redding)
Lovely Day (Bill Withers)
I Say A Little Prayer (Aretha Franklin)
Everytime We Touch (Cascada)
Under Pressure (Bowie)
Be Ok (Ingrid Michaelson)
Wonderful World (James Morrison)

My celebration song if I get in will be: Celebration (Kool and the Gang)

My sad song if I don't get in will be: One of those days (Joshua Radin) - The lyrics are:
Wait right here
Was all she said to me
And so right here I stay
Time has reached our home
And I've been left alone
It's carried him away

And everyone keeps saying
Nothing helps but time
Time is all I own
The timings stop replaying over in my mind
I watch the hours slow down

So I crawl underneath my blanket
Where I can hide away
I know I can't take it
‘Cause I see now
It's just one of those days

Now a year has passed
Alone I stay inside
And I await the rain
To wash away your face
So I don’t have to hide
The sight of you is painful

So I crawl underneath my blanket
Where I can hide away
I know I can’t take it anymore
‘Cause I see now
It's just one of those days

I can't stop
Seeing your face
I can't stop
Seeing your face
Everyplace

So I crawl underneath my blanket
Where I can hide away
I know I can't take it anymore
‘Cause I see now
It's just one of those days (yeah)

Perfect song for a sad day and getting over disappointment :)

CASCADA ROCKS. So does Caramell. For some reason they are almost synonymous in my head. Look up Caramelldansen by Caramell. IT WILL MAKE YOU HAPPY.

I like Cascada. and I listened to Caramelidansen, and it was sooo cute!

Skinny Love by Bon Iver. Absolutely incredible.

This is scary, i share the same music taste as all of you =P
Lately I’ve been listening to a lot of R&B oldies.

YaY Caramell was cute! Skinny Love seems cool 2! I’m into R&B Oldies and Alternative…

Keep posting!

I also like Boys Like Girls: The Great Escape, and Metro Station: Shake It. Also broadway classics. Anyone seen Wicked?

I haven’t sen Wicked. It came to town and my dad missed the tickets for it :(. I really want to se it! My favorite Boys Like Girls is Check Yes Juliet. That can be on repeat for hours for me. And Shake It is the best song of Summer 2008!

I have YouTube videos with Caramelldansen in it… It makes everything SO much cuter.

haha its a cute song, the little voices!

I love Check Yes Juliet! But that’s by We The Kings, not Boys Like Girls.

I LOVED Wicked. I saw it at the Pantages, but I really wanted to see the original cast on Broadway.

oopps i always get them mixed up lol. but for boys like girls i like hero/heroine

I saw boys like girls at warped tour two years ago… it was crazy. It had just rained, but nobody wanted to leave their section… talk about a HUGE, wet, rainy mosh pit, haha. I don’t like their music much, but it was a lot of fun.

I have varying music tastes… so here they are:].
