Music supplement help!

I wasn't sure what category this would go on, but here we go:
I play clarinet and I was thinking about submitting a supplement of my playing, but I have a few questions:
1. What level of music should I be able to play? (by the way I want to apply to several ivies, but not as a music major)
2. Do I have to be a music major to submit my playing?
3. Anyone want to recommend something I can play that would be impressive?

By the way, I've been thinking of taking up another instrument, but obviously I won't be as amazing as other people who play this instrument; should I bother mentioning it on my application if I do take it up?

Bump!!! :)

I play clarinet too (:
I have no idea, but I’m curious

You probably should be able to play grade 5’s comfortably to play for a college. I’m not too sure what grade music most colleges play though :x

Lol I have nooo idea either. XD I’m only a junior right now, but I’m just curious if I’m on the right track… It’s only a year until early action/decision apps are out, so it’s not tooo early to get started…

I have no idea what I want to play for the supplement… Are you submitting a supplement?

From a post by a UChicago admissions officer. Good Luck!

@Iglooo I’ve been told it depends on the school though… Does the same apply for Dartmouth?^

I’m only a junior too so I have no idea yet. I’ll ask my director and guidance counselor once school starts.
People have told me I’m very talented, but I’m very bad at auditions. A recording though, I would be able to slay.
I really want to know how you join bands if you aren’t a music major and when auditions are, but way before that is acceptance.

I’m not sure whether I should submit a music supplement now… /=
