Music Supplement (Piano)

For the supplement, I am playing Nocturne in C# minor and Waltz in C# Minor, Op. 64, No. 2 by Chopin. My favorite artist is Chopin and I chose these two pieces because of its contrast in my interpretation of the style in each piece within the same composer. However, I am concerned that they are not contrasting enough since, after all, the two are from the same composer and the technique is somewhat similar, both being in C sharp. Should I replace one of these pieces?

In case you're wondering, I am sending this in now because I'm currently on the wait list. The sound quality is pretty good since I edited the audio and removed the background noise. I think I played a unique interpretation of the Waltz in particular which would go well in contrast to the slower pace of the Nocturne.

edit: Also, does anyone know how to be sure that the admissions officers received it? I called the admissions committee and they said to just send into the admissions office. How can I confirm they received it and are reviewing it?

I would replace one with a piece by another composer from a different period (not Romantic).

Well the admissions officers themselves don’t actually listen to supplements. They send supplements of qualified applicants to Yale music faculty who listen and give the recordings a rating of 1-5 (1 being the best, 5 the worst).

Maybe I’ll replace the Nocturne with some Bach etude.
