Just wondering if anyone plans on sending in a music supplement
what instrument do you play and what pieces are you plying for the supplement?

violin - bach partita 3 and elgar's salut d'amour

I don't know if it is worth sending a supplement but if so
I applied ED to Penn and they suggested not to send it, it really wouldn't matter
CALS-Applied Econ is my intended major
Alto Saxophone: Creston Sonata
Tenor Saxophone: Sonate en Sol Mineur-Handel

violin... didn't send one... did i mention the lalo sounds like crap without piano?

if your piece requires an accompanist.. definitely Get One.
the only reason i'm doing a recording is b/c my mom knows someone who owns a recording studio.. otherwise i wouldn't send a cassette in. even though they take it..

I sent one directly to the jazz instructor at Cornell, rather than to the music department address on the web site. I had met with him and he asked me to send a CD, and luckily I had a couple pieces (a ballad, a standard, a mangione, a swing....so i got lucky, i didn't record them with hopes of sending, they were jsut recorded) i was able to send. I credit the music supp and the meeting with the instructor with getting me in ED, it was a great hook.

i play trumpet

Wow, a fellow jazz musician, I wish i lived close enough to meet with the jazz instructor, but do you really think it helped that much? Hopefully we can jam if I get in ED

Well it wasn't the only thing for sure, but he wrote a rec for me...and a rec from a cornell instructor is pretty diesel.

yeah the department is pretty decent im lookin forward to next fall
