I am thinking a submission of vocal recordings to schools I am applying to will help boost my chances of admission. I talk extensively about my passion for music, but there's always the lingering question of whether I'm actually talented or just dedicated.

If anybody has compiled a voice supplement and wants to share some insight on what exactly they did, and what their qualifications were, that'd be awesome.

Yes, there are lots of supplements on YouTube. The problem is, lots of them are bad. Of course, there are some good ones too. Unless you are conservatory or near conservatory level, you are probably better off skipping it.

Have you taken voice lessons? Been to any auditioned summer programs? Done any vocal competitions with favorable feedback or results? Do you have someone who knows something about voice who can give you an honest opinion about your abilities and if you should submit a supplement? If the answer to allof these is no, then you probably shouldn’t send.
