My favourite band/artist is most definitely the Beatles! After them, I like a combination of 60s/some 70s stuff (the Byrds, Simon & Garfunkel, John Lennon etc.), some alternative pop/rock (Oasis, KT Tunstall, Belle and Sebastian, Franz Ferdinand, etc.), and a sprinkling of other genres such as classical, songs from musicals, etc. Has anybody here heard of Bond? They're a string quartet, but their music is a mix of classical, world, pop, and dance (some of the beats). They're different, but really cool.

We had a DJ at lunch once (I think it was related to some dance we were having), and the music was mostly really loud rap, which I didn't like at all because I'm not into rap music. What I did like was when music from foreign countries (traditional songs and pop/rock type songs) was played during world languages week.

prog rock and metal

imo you can tell by my name maybe

Upsilamba: McCartney has a new album out or something, right? I heard a portion of one of the songs on Kevin & Bean this morning, and it sounded like pop/country. It wasn't at all what I expected. Do you know about the other songs on his album...and if they are all like that?

Yeah, released a new album earlier this month. Some of them are more pop/folk, but some of them are more rock-ish too. I don't think there are too many country-ish ones. Do you remember at all what the song you listened to was called or at least any of the lines?

I don't know what genres these fall into, but my musical taste is pretty diverse.

Favorite bands/artists (in no particular order): Jethro Tull, The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Yes, Queen, The Who, ELO, The Coral, Eminem, Wings, Led Zeppelin, The Postal Service, The Proclaimers, Simon and Garfunkel, John Lennon

i generally like alot of rock/alternative/metal

my school doesn't play music during lunch

generally fall out boy, panic at the disco, etcc (basically any skinny boys in tight pants with absolutely no talent whatsoever) are most popular at my school

The Smiths, Morrissey, New Order, Orange Juice, Pulp, Electronic, Depeche Mode, R.E.M., Pet Shop Boys, Patrick Wolf, The Clash, Kristeen Young, Joy Division...

Or keep track of my horrible music taste here

I had a very strange dream that Kristeen Young was my college roommate.

Very strange dream.

Anyway.

It'd be odd to have Kristeen Young as a roommate. I can definitely imagine her being strangely quirky. True story: I went to Vegas last Saturday to see Morrissey and Kristeen Young was staying on the same floor in the same hotel I was. I was too chicken to say anything to her though.
