<p>Does purdue have a music performance major/minor? I heard they only have a music theory minor. Quite dissappointed. I am going there for engineering major and would really like to pursue on piano performance/education..what can i do?</p>
<p>john purdue was a strange man and said that purdue was not allowed to have a school of music. we do, however, have some music programs. if you want to pursue the piano, there's opportunities for you in the chamber music program or maybe applied music, where you can get private lessons and give a performance at the end of each semester. I play the cello, and I'm involved with purdue symphony, and i play in a piano trio through chamber music program. it's worked out well so far.</p>
<p>but does anyone knoe whether at least there is a practice room with piano in it?</p>
