Music

I've almost finished the application process for the 6 schools that I initially thought I would be compatible with. However, now that I'm at that point, I feel like I may want to apply to one or two other schools. The thing is, when I first researched Georgetown I immediately wrote it off, as it didn't have an actual school for music.

Recently, I've decided that I'm probably not going to be studying music as a major, but either as a minor or by simply taking a few classes or private lessons. Does anyone know if this is possible at Georgetown? If so, I think I really might take a second look into it, as I absolutely loved my visit there.

Thanks!

There actually isn't a music major as of now- they are planning on adding one within a few years. You definitely can minor in music, or just take a few random classes. I like the department personally. You get to know the professors really well and they're all so interested in what they're teaching. Professors also offer private lessons for a fee or you could probably find some other teacher in the area. If you like other stuff about gtown I'd say definitely apply because I'm sure you'd be happy with the music department.
