Who has the best classes for a guitar major? anywhere?

There is a liberal arts school in Ohio (Columbus or Cinncinatti I think) that is very small but has a really good jazz guitar program. The name escapes me, but I have an old friend who has become obsessed with guitar, he transferred to that school, and all he does is play guitar.

You might want to visit the Music Major forum on CC. There are moderators there and helpful musicians who may be able to advise you as this is a very specialized field.

A lot more info is needed as to your background, training, experience and preference of genre, as well as an idea of your academic stats and requirements before just throwing out names of institutions. Are you looking for a music degree, be it BM or BA, or just a casual, participatory experience?

The idea to visit the music major forum is sound. I’d suggest you start your reading here http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/music-major/258796-so-you-want-music-major-one-familys-experience.html Even if you have no intention of majoring in performance or another music field, it will give you some background info.
