I like classical. I have been playing the clarinet for years, and it probably influenced my musical taste. I find the beauty in classical music that I guess other people of my age don't. Actually I found that at my school, most people who play a band/orchestra instrument likes classical music. People who don't play any instrument would mock you if you claim you listen to classical music.</p>

<p>Classical is good because it is music that achieved its musicality and greatness by the skill of the composer and instrument players only, as opposed to music that is only made music by technology. </p>
<p>Im not saying anything against modern music, I'm just saying The Requiem is astounding and meaningful - that is a quality in music that is so, so hard to find these days.</p>

I like classical because it's legit, it can be interpreted in many ways, it's not offensive in any way, it sounds beautiful, its requires a lot of skill, I love the sound of many instruments in sync, I love the sound of string instruments (go chamber orchestra!), and there are a helluva lot of classical songs (so you'll never get bored). And no, I don't play any instrument (but I would like to learn how to play the piano in college).</p>

<p>I see a lot of musical lovers... Anybody a fan of A Chorus Line? That has got to be my favorite musical of all time!!</p>

<p>Because it's good.
I think some people (young or old) don't like it because they have the presumption that it's too boring/slow. And actually some of it is, but most of it is really good.</p>
<p>I'm not sure what kind of music I listen to, but it's good.</p>
