We made the trip up from South Florida last week with our Daughter and was blown away by the campus and general tour. We were also lucky enough that our tour guide was part of the College (but not Majoring in Musical Theater). He was very thorough and knowledgeable about all of the Colleges and the University as well.
We are starting to gather up all of the information needed to complete the SSAR and application and hope to complete it on or very close to the August 1 opening date.
When do we submit for an Audition Date? Is there any advice as to the audition choices of music or should we work with her HS Chorus / Theater instructor to choose music that best highlights her strong points?
What is the Audition Process like? She is very excited and has auditioned for many productions in the past, how different is this experience?
Also, is there a way to arrange a tour / meeting with the Musical Theater department specifically? We would love to come back up and visit again and get to know more about the department specifically. While our tour guide was able to give some insight, there were a dozen other families, and they had their specific questions as well.
We are looking forward to the process and the possibility of choosing FSU for Rhiannon’s education.
Thank you,

Hello, I am sorry I haven’t checked CC very often this summer. I can certainly answer all of your questions; it would probably be best if we make an appointment to talk by phone since the answers to the questions usually lead to more questions
My email address is mdiamonti@fsu.edu.
Best wishes,

We came up for the Auditions last weekend (as well 2 weeks earlier when my Daughter was sick with the Flu). We really appreciate how warm and welcoming the entire process was. It goes without saying that it is a stressful process for the students, I cannot even imagine how stressful it is for the panel. Everyone we saw and heard were infinitely talented. Regardless, everyone made us and the students feel at home at FSU and we hope that we will become a part of the family soon.
Thanks again,
