Would anyone care to share their experiences, tips, etc about the audition process for a future auditioner in February?? It would be greatly appreciated!

There is not musical theatre audition for incoming freshman

Is it just theater then?

BFA Acting is audition. Musical Theatre Minor. There appears to be some sort of MT audition once you are in school but it also appears that everyone gets in.

There is an audition for the musical theatre minor at the end of every semester. I don’t know what the acceptance rate is, but I think it’s pretty high. Our MT program is mostly self-selecting, since most people who go to college for acting in LA want to do film & TV acting over musical theatre performing, but I still have a very high opinion of our program. We have some amazing professors (including John Rubinstein, who was the original Pippin on Broadway, and won a Tony for Children of a Lesser God), and we have some really cool opportunities (masterclasses with JRB [who is theoretically a member of the faculty] and Georgia Stitt, cool guest directors, etc).

Also, the MT minor is through the Thornton School of Music, not the School of Theatre.
