Musical Theatre In Florida

Besides UF,FSU, and UCF what school in the Tampa and north area have musical theatre programs?

You might want to check out - Rollins College, in Winter Park (near Orlando).

(We know someone who is enjoying studying theatre there...not sure it's a BFA rather a BA..if that matters to you).

Rollins is a BA but the theater program does offer a MT emphasis option that looks good for a BA in terms of the curriculum offered.

You should check out Palm Beach Atlantic University. They have a pretty good MT program. And also University of Tampa (lol). I hear the have a great program!

University of Tampa is not on our "big list" of MT programs, so I'm not sure of the degree offered, but a girl in summerstock this summer with my son graduated from there and has a great singing voice.

It looks like they offer a BA in MT. It is by audition, according to the website.

It's always nice to find another option for people. :)

If you have not already looked at The Big List, do so. Here is a link:

Tampa should be added to our "big list", as BA programs are certainly listed. Anyone know how to add it?

figured i give a bump

You also might want to check out New World School of the Arts in Miami, University of West Florida, as well as University of Miami. They all have great Musical Theatre programs. Especially Uni. of Miami.

Palm Beach Atlantic University...BA in Musical Theatre, auditioned program. Beautiful campus, nice Christian university right on the coast in West Palm. Gorgeous..!
