Muslims in anticipation of Eid Al Adha.

okay i failed every single one of my SAt2s....good thing the schools i sent them too were not my top schools, I guess i can take them off my mind.

hec2008, first of all, are you a Muslim?
secondly, ah, I'll come to that question as soon as I get answer to the first one.

so my chem test didn't go too bad, or too well for that matter...
details coming soon :) ...

bump......................................who has something to say.

hec2008 - what are your comments on my answers?

I've something to say that: I've nothing to say. :D

thank you so much NotAmbidetrous. that helped alot. Like I told asifkhan, too often when you your spending so much time with an issue you life this you forget that there is a very personal face behind it. This is just a set of codes but someones faith. it will do very well in the paper. thank you very much.

o snap!!!!!!!!!!

hec......would you explain what you are trying to say a bit...It's sorta confusing how you worded it (I'm really interested to see what you are thinking related to this research paper)...I think you hinted me a bit about the thing you are saying here at PM.

o uhh sunapppppppppp

asif - he said "thanks. It was helpful. I also think shariah is a way of life."

stuck.....he told more than that to me....my PM box was FULL as in FULL so, I think I deleted his one too when I was cleaning my PM box....that's why I asked so. :D

I cleaned my inbox too.

I didn't. because I have only 23 PMs or something...

I now have 7. Used to have 43...and before that 37

the paper is about governments ligitimized by religion, throughout history and in the present and how that effects minority groups. My underlying arguement is that no matter how pure, good and well intentioned religioius dotrine may be, often but not always when it is politicized it has great power to opress certain groups. basicly i start with the ancient egyptians work may way through Judea, Genvea, and end with an analyisis of 4 different prodominetly Muslim states (Suadi Arabia, Indonesia, Pakistan, and Turkey).
It's coming along :) I know your probably concerned about how I am protraying Islam. I promise I am not completly ignorant and have a fairly solid background in the Sharaih and practice Islam. I write extensivly about misconceptions, but am also honest about the human rights practices in certain nations. Though I make it explicitly clear this has nothing to do with Islam.
You can ask more questions, but I have to get to school.
o ps I'm a girl
hec=hayley ec(my initials)

nice .

hec...no, I was never concerned that u'd portray Islam really in an ignorant way. Just the mere fact that a person is writing his/her research paper on something as sensitive as Shariah tells all that the person can't be ignorant and such! :D

I was more interested in how ur view changed (or whether it did) and what striked u particularly when doing this paper...that's pretty much I was curious about...but, I definitely find strong support to ur argument and it can hardly be debated to be frank. BUT, it can be flawed if u didn't show it in the correct way.......it's not necessarily the religious doctrine but more about how the society/political leaders "interpret" the religious doctrine and mould people's attitude and such.

im pretty sure that is almost an exact quote form my thesis :)

the second paragraph of my post right above yours?

lol, i think she meant just the last part of your paragraph.....
