Muticultural Celebration Weekend Invitation

I got the decision. However, I'm not going to the Multicultural weekend because I'm not going to WU and it just happens to be on prom.

does this mean that most minorities who are accepted will have already heard their decisions by now? i'm asian and hispanic (national hispanic scholar) and i definitely haven't heard back from wash u yet. i'm just wondering if this means i'm rejected.

where you planning to go maguo?

Well, at this point, I've been accepted to Michigan, Penn State, and UF. UF is free, I got a huge scholarship from Michigan and I'm expecting one from PSU. I feel fairly confident in my abilities to get into at least one of Johns Hopkins, Duke or Cornell. Also, I think I have a shot at one of MIT, Harvard, and Princeton. All of these schools except Penn State and UF are more attractive than WU at this point.

OMFG i got in!!! Yes I am in! Early notice today in the mail.

I got the same invite today, priority mail envelope. but no scholarship money means I'm not going here. it's nice i got in though

Count me in! I got a letter today. But prom's that Saturday for me too, and I don't want to miss prom if I don't even want to go to Washu.

i'm a minority but i havent received anything yet.. so i guess im not in? i thought i had decent chance, but i guess not... o well

Have not received anything either...I am a minority...

Minority-ness has nothing to do with this event. Just get in ur head... it just a matter of whether they are going to accept u 'early' RD or not.

Who are you wu00fly to say that?

i wouldnt worry too much: I dont think they could possibly send out invites to every "multicultural" student. so just because you haven't gotten one shouldnt automatically mean you didnt get into wash u

I just got this email today, so does this mean i got in?

Sincerely,"

i got that too. so yeah, you did get in.

how many of u RSVPed? I didn't b/c i didn't know about my other schools that i might get into.

i am an international student and asked for a free ride, so does this email mean that i got the financial aid too? It's just too good to believe.

Hmm.... I actually didn't get a multicultural invite, but I did get the olin invite.

OMFG...does this mean I'm not IN!??!?!!??!

just kidding. :-p .... I'm sure they can't afford to fly me two weekends ....

I got it. I'm really surprised, actually: I forgot to send WUSTL my updated SAT scores, so they were going on my 2200, which apparently was good enough. I also didn't call or email at all; I always thought that WUSTL was going to be a big reach for me. Now I'm pretty excited that I got the acceptance!

"i wouldnt worry too much: I dont think they could possibly send out invites to every "multicultural" student. so just because you haven't gotten one shouldnt automatically mean you didnt get into wash u"

that's what i'm hoping. i think those other minorities who got in but have not received this invite will receive a later invitation to the multicultural weekend, except all expenses will not be paid.

It seems they sent invitations only to people with very high stats...is that true???
