Muticultural Celebration Weekend Invitation

i got invited but i got only 2150 on the SAT

"People who got invited" could you post your SAT scores and GPAs, my S has 2270 and did not get one.

well, RTMM, i only sent my ACT, which was a 35. My GPA is 4.31 (somewhere around there)

i got invited w/ only a 2060 woo, but i had a 33 act so idunno, but this just proves i guess that sat's aren't everything...

I got invited too. But I'm not going to Wash U.
GPA: 3.83
SAT: 2100

i got invited, but i wont be able to go to the program

SAT: 2150

I got invited, and I have a 2090, 30 ACT -- standardized test scores aren't everything.

GPA: 4.5/4.5 (weighted) 4.0/4.0 unweighted

ya I'm really mad about the reply date. I visited Wash U for discovery weekend, so I'm not really going to stress about the multicultural weekend. Considering that I got no scholarships and will probably not be able to afford going there, it does not matter to me. I think it would have made more sense to have the Multicultural Weekend AFTER people got their financial aid. But if the goal is to attract people to the college, more props to them. I've already visited so it no bones to me. However, if you haven't visited, you should definitely go to Multicultural. Whether you end up going to Wash U or not, visiting could make or break your decision. When I visited during discovery, it put Wash U at the top of my list.

do u think they'll get mad if i have to leave early at like 3 on frday for state science olympaid and prom??

Naw, that will be fine. I am a student at Washu and am on the Admissions Office commitee for organizing the weekend. I can assure you that you will be fine. In fact, when I attended MultiCulti Weekend last year several people had to leave early for prom/catillion/olympiad and whatnot. Don't worry collegebound

RTMM-
I seriously doubt it's all about SAT scores and GPA. Someone else at my school who is Cum Laude and a National Merit Finalist applied and didn't get invited, whereas I did even though I'm not Cum Laude and I'm only a semi-finalist.

((2260, 3.8 (unweighted))

Mark it down to the strange and mystical rites that college admissions committes go through?

does anyone know if people who go are still in contention for scholarships (maybe minor scholarships)??? If they are so interested in attracting these students with an all-expense paid trip, are they still deciding at all about awarding merit scholarships other than the major ones?

i got invited
