a 24.

But my transcript is a consistent 92-96 each term since 9th grade, and my ECs all relate to what I want to do in college. I got into these programs at Weill Cornell and Columbia Med School based on merit, and that's just some of the things I've done.

Am I ruined beacuse of the ACT? Will they see I just can't take a standardized test well?

Hmm. Tough question to call. At first instinct, I would say "yes," as anyone applying to top schools knows that getting low test scores is indicative of the quality of your education (especially the ACT which tests more subject matter as opposed to the SAT, which tests reasoning.)

However........ according to CollegeBoard.com, for Tufts your test scores are only "important" as opposed to "very important." Guess what's considered very important: your secondary school record, and considering that you have an A average and (more likely than not) took the hardest courseload possible, you're still competitive. Your GPA, work experience, essays, recommendations, etc. etc. are all in the same category and not everyone admitted is THAT strong in everything. So long as you've done fairly well in everything else, you should still remain competitive.

Either way, your test scores aren't that low- comparatively, yes, they will be lower than others, but you didn't completely bomb it. Personally, I also would not be satisfied with those scores though, but that's just me. Whether you get in or not is really up to the admissions committee at this point. Just remember that you tried your hardest and if you don't get in, then at least you'll have other offers. :)

Uh...a 24 is LOW. I spell grade inflation at your school...

I wouldn't say you're ruined - but it certainly hurts your chances dramatically.

People are bad test takers, did you prepare for this test? Study? Sometimes, you go into a test thinking you will do much better at it than you actually do. My only advice to you is hope the adcoms see that your stellar hs stats can diminish your bleek act.

I don't think it's grade inflation necessarily. Some people aren't good test takers.

Good Luck!

Do you have a SAT score? If that's better, you can send that.

It is a reach for you to get in with that score, but there are so many factors which we might not be aware of. Anything is possible.
