Well here is my activity list on the CommonApp. I understand some of the stuff stand out, but what I'm wondering is, should I remove them?

Career Oriented - Community Service

Work Experience - Community Service

Club - Community Service

Club - Community Service

Varsity Sport

Science Projects - Community Service (you may not believe this but I did manage to pu t some community service in there)

Student Council

Mission Trip - Community Service

Helping teachers - Community Service

Dance Crew

I have leadership positions in all except the Varsity Sport and the Dance Crew. Should I remove one of those or both or none at all?

Don’t remove anything, it shows that you can lead as well as follow.
Good luck!

I agree with AudreyH. Definitely don’t remove any of the leadership positions, or Varsity Sport or Dance Crew. The last two show that you are well-rounded and don’t join stuff just to get leadership positions. They show a side of your application that is not just community-service oriented, which is obviously the strong part of your EC’s.

What if some of the leaderships are really minor. For example, what if I was chosen to be a representative from a group of 30 students? Also, what if I one of the leaderships was just me leading a group of 6 people?

Doesn’t matter love, a leadership post is a leadership post. You don’t HAVE to specify how many people you led or anything, you can just say you led the “team” or “group”.

Thanks a lot! I didn’t think of that.

I’m in a really good mood right now with IB predicted grades coming out tomorrow! 44 please (might be 42 though :S)!
