if you don’t have the tab…does it mean you defiantly did not get in?

yeah, scott, I get that. But I also saw where bruno posted his school was 2 for 5, but that only meant that 2 had official notifications in the mail, not necessarily that all 5 had received official notifications. In other words, Bruno might have just assumed that all letters would arrive in his/her 'hood on the same day.

But just guessin’ to pass the time… :)

scottj, thanks for shedding some light on that.

Does anyone know anything about how decisions are released by BC? I know someone said “batch” decisions or something, but I don’t know what that means. If the first letters supposedly got mailed on Monday and we all have to know BY December 25th, does that mean it’s possible that they process the decisions and therefore post the tabs online/mail letters over that ten-day period rather than all at once?

I-girl:

Dunno about EA, but last spring letters went out daily over the course of a week. Of course, RD has a lot more letters to mail.

Dear Cc2425: the same thing happens for me. i’m assuming that we just can’t pay our enrollment fee until december 25th, when the alleged deadline is. this is just a guess though.

i logged on, and i had no tabs. instead, the website went directly to “My Services” and uploaded some agreement about computer use on campus when pursuing my education at BC? So does this mean I’m in?

when did all of you get your apps in? does it have anything to do when everything was submitted? my last item was submitted/recieved 10/31 (one day before it was due)

Hi all-

I have the enrollment fee tab, last part of the alphabet and from Florida.
Guidance counselors at school mentioned that it could be a positive sign. Also, they said students that have that tab should be careful to assume because a couple of years ago Cornell did the same thing, and it ended up being a mistake.

I don’t think we will officially know until the letters come out. Goodluck to all!

i had used the site in the past to make sure everything was in, and it showed that BC had received all my materials. So now I’m just confused as to why nothing is showing up but this security agreement for on-campus computer use hah. I called BC, but they informed me the letters had been sent and I should know shortly. ugh slightly frustrating.

wait! i figured it out!
i found the tabs and i have the financial aid tab and the enrollment fee tab!

^^ How do u figure that out? LOL, i thought it automatically popped up…

hey,

im becoming a little concerned over the fact i don’t see an enrollment fee tab on my agora portal. where would this be? i have a box titled “account and personal info” but it only has the following subcategories: applicant status, change challenge questions, change password, and create/update email forwarding. Does this mean i dont have the tab? thanks

Bruno and CelticFan may have a point, but as with anything, take the words with a grain of salt. I’ve been around these forums for about three years now and have seen issues like this pop up every year.

While getting the extra tabs is indicative of an acceptance, it is not always the case. There were several students last year who reported having the extra tabs, but were either waitlisted or deferred (albeit not too many). There were also plenty of students who did not get the extra tabs who were accepted to BC. As stated, the tabs do have some significance, but probably less than one would think.

For those of you who do not have the tabs, continue to keep hope because there were numerous students who were eventually accepted who did not have the tabs.

It could possibly connote a deferral or a rejection. At least that was the pattern seen during last year’s process. No tab = deferral/waitlist or an outright rejection.

However, just wait until the letter arrives. This “tab” thing is not entirely accurate, but it has been a damned good indicator for a very long time.

@ ch0iminy:
i’m sort of a fool when it comes to technology.

I have the
Pay Enrollment Confirmation Fee tab now and
Finanical Aid Notification tab
even though I didn’t apply for financial aid…
Weird.
But exciting nonetheless!!!

this thread is upsetting since i don’t see a tab/ haven’t received a letter
time to send payment to all the other schools now

TacoPaul, do not give up hope. As other posters have said, many have gotten acceptance letters way before the tabs even showed up.

And I am suspicious about celticsfan and bobbruno1…

mail just came…in.

By my count there are only five acceptances so far on this forum, and they were all posted yesterday evening or early am. The two whom have been discussed at length, one from FL, one from NC, and the other didn’t post location. Why so few, and in such diverse locations? I expected a flurry of posts today. There doesn’t seem to be any news today except for the two deferrals (so sorry).
