Rich5192: i just followed the financial aid link and i’m definitely much more confident that tabs do mean acceptance now! thank you!

Sharp101 - You asked what city…just outside of Boston so we’re very close to BC

BlueBayou - Regarding your comment…"welcome to Chestnut Hill, OneDown… " Thank you! And I am already very familiar with Chestnut Hill (it’s a beautiful place) as I went to Boston College 34 years ago long before Doug Flutie. I have a son at Harvard and now a daughter soon to be at Boston College and I am happy to say that I am now totally done with the whole college application process. CollegeConfidential.com has been fun and useful but I am gald to close that chapter of my life.

I’m so afraid I’m getting my hopes up about the tabs issue…

from FL…Last name: D.

I have tabs but no letter. Tomorrow?

where is the tab? is it on next to the my services tab?

Okay, so is it a concensus that if you do NOT have the tabs, you are NOT accepted? I only skimmed this thread quickly…

@jga201 and mose2014
I think we just gotta hold tight. I’ve gotten SUPER hung up about the tabs thing (I don’t have any on Agora either) and have read almost EVERY thread on here about deciphering what having/not having the tabs could mean. Let’s just hope our decisions are still waiting to be sent out or something, or BC hasn’t had time to process the tabs on our account yet. Good luck to you guys! Go do some calc to take your mind off it, haha… its kinda working for me. :p

I have the tabs and I have yet to receive a letter. I live in southern NH, about an hour away from BC, and I am assuming that the letters are being mailed out alphabetically because my friend I both have last names that fall at the end of the alphabet, and neither of us have received letters.

I completely agree. The mail will tell all. We have to sit tight and wait out! Good luck to everyone in this boat of anticipation and congrats to all who are in!

I just tried this (and it worked!!!). This is the message that pops up if you follow rich’s instructions: (I put in asterisks for emphasis.)

Richs instructions (sorry don’t know how to quote messages):
If you have the pay enrollment fee and financial aid tabs in your agora page I do think you’re accepted.

If you click on financial aid tab, and click on the link on the window that pops up you see a login ID and birthday.

If you type in the ID (found next to your name in the check applicant status link) and birthday it says…

“Incoming freshman and transfer applicants for the 2010-2011 year”

Well, I’m not seeing any sort of tabs right now…
I’ll wait for the mail tomorrow, but I won’t hold my breath.

dioriom: I don’t have the tabs, just tried that, and I got the same message you did.

yes, I tried it. I have no tab. But the financial aid screen appears just as you said.

Yeah, maybe that financial aid screen would work for all applicants if you find the link yourself, but the tab gives you a direct link, which is why I thought it might mean something.

Oh well. I’m still very grateful I have both tabs…takes a lot of stress away. Hopefully more people will get letters tomorrow!

please let me come home to see a thick package in my mailbox tomorrow…

ditto dontstopbelievin. lol if there was something i wanted more than anything, it would be a big fat package from BC…

I’m with you both. ^^

now when i click on the applicant status, my page has been updated and i can pay the $500 fee!! i’m hoping this is not a fluke…

So if the tab is all about financial aid and you didn’t apply for financial aid, I would think that not seeing a tab there is no indication whatsoever of any decision. Gonna have to wait it out till I get paper in hand.
