Hey everyone!

On Sunday I drove to the State Capital Building in Sacramento for my district interview for the Alumni Scholarship. I won the $4,000 scholarship in the last round; this interview was to narrow five applicants down to two to go to the state finals at UCLA.

The panel was a lot more down to earth and cool than the last panel I interviewed with. They asked me, "What is a cause you have rallied for?", "If you could make an amendment to the constitution, what would it be?" and the hardest question, "What's the most difficult question we could ask you, and what would your reply be?" I felt I answered them pretty well and left with a good feeling.

They said at the interview, "We'll call you tonight or tomorrow morning and let you know the results." Well, here I am, 5pm the next day with no call. The last 24 hours have made me crazy!!! Every time the phone rings my heart starts beating fast, just to see that it's not for me.

I don't know whether I should be discouraged or not. I don't think that they would just not call me, but... I wonder why the delay? I guess there's no use speculating, and by the time most of you read this, I'll probably already know, but ughh... waiting sucks!!!

I'm keeping my fingers crossed...
