My appeal went through!!!!

Hehe, that could be me in a few years if they reject me again. I'd want to try and transfer after doing well at a community college for two years :).

"the rate of reversal has been very very low in the past...around 2% someone wrote. "

wrong.

^So then what is correct?

5-12% depending on the year, I have to find the pdf

edit" <a href="http://www.universityofcalifornia.edu/news/compreview/0308_meeting/appeals_matrix.pdf%5B/url%5D">http://www.universityofcalifornia.edu/news/compreview/0308_meeting/appeals_matrix.pdf</a></p>

yeah barfdog i based my data on the same webpage but i went to the admissions lady at ucla and she told me that in 2006 the rate of reversal was about 2%.

ah k (10 char)

hey you guys, do you know when the site will change to say that our appeal is in review? anyone's appeal went through yet?

^The site should change to say that your appeal is in review a few days after they recieve it. Mine probably changed less than a week after they got it?

ehhh you'll never survive here if you got in on appeal. haha. just kidding, you might.

they jus jus got my appeal...i guess all i can do is pray

smiles77: I disagree, I think you are MORE likely to excell at UCLA after getting in on appeal. The people who appeal are serious, and have taken the extra effort to try and attend a college they are truly interested in. It shows persistence and follow-through. They should conduct a study that follows appeal students to see if the percentage of them graduating is higher than the "first round" admitted students.

my ucla site still only shows the rejection letter (i sent it on the 14th)

does anyone have the ucla appeals # i can call to see if they received my appeal?

o and i forgot to include my ucla student id (only first and last name) on my letter. Does that matter?

Uh oh. Not including your UCLA ID # in an appeal to them !? The site changes after they recieve your appeal (about 1-2 days after)

The site changed after four "business" days, I would call the admissions office and ask there.

If you forgot your application number, there is a good chance that your appeal will get "lost in space."

i didn't submit my ucla student ID number and mine changed quite quickly... but then again i included my entire application along with my letter so perhaps they were ok just with my normal application number. but yes i would call if its been a while and hasnt changed yet

=(

does anyone know the # i can call?

<a href="https://www.admissions.ucla.edu/contactus.htm%5B/url%5D">https://www.admissions.ucla.edu/contactus.htm</a></p>

Not too hard to find ;).

i got into the drumline but not in the school, so the band director recommended me through a band appeal, the site for me hasnt changed i think bc i didnt put my ucla id in the appeal, i filled out a special band appeal thing tho, should i e-mail the admission people my id if i want the site to change?

i think that maybe you should call instead. you'd get in contact with a person right away rather than anxiously awaiting an email response. good luck!
