<p>I GOT IN ON APPEAL TOO!!! my counselour called and found out for me, but they haven't updated my status online yet. in fact, they sent me financial aid and housing wayyyyyyyyy before they notified me, so i sort of already knew.</p>
<p>So they said they received my appeal today and that it would take about 3 weeks for a reply...</p>
<p>What do I do about my 5/1 SIR then? Can i still go to la if i get in by the appeal after the deadline?</p>
<p>if you were admitted after april 10, you have 3 weeks from the day that they notify you that you got in. </p>

<p>agga, i totally hope we both get in on appeal. you know... it says that their decision site is unavailable right now... perhaps they're uploading some appeal decisions? perhaps? what is your second choice school if the appeal doesn't work out?</p>

<p>You can still submit an SIR to another school beforeyou hear back from LA. Actually, that would be the smart thing to do incase LA doesn't work out. Yes, you would lose your initial depoit but that is much better than not having anywhere to go.</p>

<p>Ugh nothing got updated for me either. At this point, I'm almost indifferent...I mean I've already registered at LMU and am getting more and more excited every day. It would be nice to know, though.</p>
<p>I sent mine 4/17 and they said they probably have it but haven't entered it into the system yet.</p>

So far, all I have seen is no brainer appeals. A handicap that was not included in the first app. and a collegeboard error.</p>
<p>Basis for appeals: 2 handicaps not mentioned in apps. Also, my conselor and I thought the rejection was a clerical error or something. Lots of kids with wayyyyy lower stats (academically and extracurricularily) than me were accepted.
I was a top ranking student, inventor, aca deca, science bowl, state finalist in various compeitions, involved in politics, etc., etc. Oh, and besides the brainiac aspect, I'm also a beauty queen.. :)<br>

<p>Well Meza007, sorry to hear about your band appeal. I am in the marching band and I got into UCLA without an appeal so I don't know how that process works. Hopefully, with lady luck on your side, I will see you in the fall, FRESHMAN.</p>
<p>I will always wonder if I would've got in on appeal, but I doubt it since I'm out of state. But, seeing that this person with two handicaps got in, then who knows. It's UCLA's loss, because I'm going to be a Cavalier at UVA next year.</p>
