Hey guys, the title might seem a bit irrelevant for the ACT chat room but my current scenario is pertinent.

OK. Without any further ado, let me explain my situation.

I screwed up my SAT twice so people suggested me to take ACT.

I looked at the ACT test and i was thrilled!-it actually suits me better!

I looked at the ACT test dates and i was like holy @#%#. Why?
a) I’m a rising senior studying in Singapore so the only test dates i can do are October and December
b) I have an important school trip on the October date so this leaves me with December
c) If i take the December test the ACT test may take 6-7 weeks to arrive and this means that i wont be able to apply for the January regular decision for college,

Also, here are some tentative solutions:

I can cancel the school trip but at a heavy cost-its been paid and i wont be receiving this special* award.

Or Can i ask the ACT test center to move it next weekended when i arrive in Singapore?

Finally, can universities wait until my scores December scores arrive?

I KNOW ITS A LOT OF QUESTIONS. BUT if you can answer even one question help me out!

December score will definitely be considered for regular decision applicants. December ACT date is Dec. 13th, and ACT scores most often come out in 2-4 weeks (maybe, considering you're from Singapore, it might take 5 weeks) so the ACT score will definitely be out by mid-January. It might not make it by January 1, but as long as it gets there by late-January/early February, colleges will consider it.

BTW, ACT will NOT move your test to next weekend for October administration.

thetimewarp, that won't help. To get your December scores to colleges in time to be considered, you need to ask for the reports when you register, not after the scores come out.
