Harvard apparently still hasn’t received my recommendations, and seems to have received my counselor report 1/6, despite the fact it was mailed in October.
Are they just really backed up? Should I call/resend? Advice pleasee

I didn’t submit that damn SSII form that was hidden on Harvard’s website because I didn’t know about it. Harvard says that all of my required documents were received, and I’ve seen other people on CC who said that they were accepted without sending in the SSRII. But I didn’t do the optional essay (I could explain why, but that would be a whole new page-long rant), so I’m pretty sure that I’m going to be rejected for being a lazy, ignorant student who didn’t overanalyze the fine print on Harvard’s website until it was too late.

relax. clearly if the ssrII was such a big deal, it would have been mentioned SOMEWHERE on the commonapp or supplement. and i mean even without the report, our statuses say that our applications are complete. harvard will contact you if you’re missing anything. i didn’t even know about the report until i saw it here on CC; my counselor (who has gotten ppl into harvard) didn’t even know about it when i brought it up. i dont know if she even submitted mine.
